ART

Art has always played a central role in my life. From a young age, I was constantly creating, whether it was drawing, painting, or experimenting with mixed media. I grew up always finding ways to be a part of an artistic community, through clubs and classes. Art was more than a hobby for me, it is a safe space where I could express my thoughts and emotions without needing to say a word. As I got older, it became clear that art was not just something I did, it is part of who I am.

Creativity has followed me into every chapter of life, shaping how I approach challenges, problem-solving, and even communication. I don’t see creativity as limited to what’s on a canvas, it’s a mindset. Whether I’m decorating a space, planning a project, or thinking about my future, I always turn to creative expression to guide my decisions. Art has taught me to appreciate process over perfection, and to find beauty in imperfections.

Fashion, for me, is one of the most powerful forms of artistic expression. That’s why I started my upcycling brand, Gaia. Taking old or discarded clothing and giving it new life is not only an environmentally conscious practice, it’s also deeply creative. Every piece I design is one-of-a-kind, shaped by inspiration, intuition, and an artistic vision. I see fashion as my canvas, and each garment is a reflection of who I am and what I value.

Running my brand is more than a business. It’s an ongoing art project. I approach every collection with the same curiosity and intention I had back in my childhood art classes. I think about color, texture, balance, and how each piece will make someone feel. Upcycling allows me to combine sustainability with style, and through that, I’ve found a way to share my voice and vision with the world.

Ultimately, art has shaped my identity in more ways than I can count. It’s helped me understand myself, connect with others, and turn my values into something tangible. The creative process grounds me, challenges me, and inspires me daily. Whether I’m painting a wall, sewing a new design, or reimagining a vintage piece, I’m engaging in the same form of expression that’s guided me my whole life. Art isn’t just something I do, it’s the way I live.
